Richard is packed, and departing his home in Italy enroute to Lisbon for the start of the Dakar, 2008. Some of his travel documents have not yet been returned, but he hopes to have that cleared up by Monday. No time to spare! A Contemplative Don Hatton calls in on the eve of his departure for Europe (well after midnight, if that tells you how much sleep he'll be getting tonight). It's down to the brass tacks, as they say. Don again lets us into the mind and heart of a Dakar Privateer, and you can begin to understand just how important those of you listening to this podcast are to his (and all privateers') efforts. Can't wait to hear more, Don, and we'll be following you every step of the way. Cheers.

2 Way conversation with Ned as he was headed to the Todos Santos checkpoint at RM 1220. Lyndon is currently on the bike and has been since the early swap with Tim at RM 1040. Bad whoops for the first 30 miles after RM 1040.
Possibility of rider swap at Todos Santos, otherwise Pyn will bring it home. GO TDB!! Comments[1]

Caught up with Robb McElroy at about 10pm Monday. He was looking for position info from the web (which is strangely lacking). He had dropped Ned off at RM 375 (or so) for the handoff and returned to the ADV pits at RM 200.
All ADV except 1 car through RM 200 at this time. Call recorded for your pleasure. Enjoy! Comments[1]
